Job description:

- You will be working as part of specialist electric drives and actuation team within a multi-national and multi-disciplined engineering organisation
- you will be supporting projects incorporating leading edge technologies into a wide range of applications such as:
- Motors & generators for hybrid and electric vehicle powertrains
- Actuators and sensors for gasoline and diesel engines
- Actuators and sensors for transmissions
- Magnetic components for high power electronic converters
- Low carbon power generation and surface transportation
Your further responsibilities:
- Support the design and analysis of electronic power converters of various types
- Maintain in-house processes and knowledge resources
- Contribute to the delivery of technical processes and roadmaps

- University degree level (postgraduate qualification is an advantage) in Electro Engineering
- Relevant Industrial experience in electric drives
- Knowledge of the design of power electronic converters for electric machines such as Power semiconductor components, Passive components, Feedback sensors, etc.)
- Use of dynamic simulation tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) to model system performance
Knowledge from following areas are highly appreciated (Alternative power converter topologies for different machine types and applications, Electric machine theory and design (synchronous and asynchronous), Motor control algorithms (synchronous, asynchronous) including field weakening
- Very good knowledge of English language
- Excellent communication skills
