DB2 DBA will be responsible for the following:

- Providing on-call support for database problems and off hours maintenance.
- Analyzing database requirements for OLTP and Data warehouse applications.
- Developing and executing appropriate Data Definition Language (DDL) to support projects.
- Proactive performance consultation, design, tuning, and planning.
- Research new DB2 software features available with upgrades and incorporate in standards and databases as applicable.
- Create and enforce architectural standards involving database health, security, availability, and replication.
- Design, test, implement effective database monitoring.
- Performing/monitoring database backup and recovery.
- Recoverability and availability assurance activities associated with high availability design, disaster recovery testing, SLA management.
- Provisioning and capacity planning for adequate database storage.
- Making recommendations for, and implement, appropriate security structures.
- Work with a global DBA team to provide cross-border support.

The candidate should meet the following minimum criteria:
- FLUENT English
- Experience in installing and implementing DB2 software in the Unix, Linux and Windows environments
- Experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, tuning, testing, planning and configuring DB2 LUW
- Experience in implementing DB2 upgrades and Fix packs
- Experience with VLDB ( Very Large databases), BCU data warehouse configuration, Work Load Manager, Q-Replication, HADR and TSM preferred.
