Job Description
Storage engineer focuses on the delivery of excellent SAN and storage services to the customers managed by your team.
The goal is to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the customer's production environment, to execute the implementation and optimizations in the customer's storage and SAN infrastructure, ensure data storage consistency and recoverability thus to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Storage arrays which are in use are HP EVA and XP, SAN based on Cisco and Brocade products.
This position includes also participation in technical projects, consulting, proactive capacity and availability management as well as the delivery of support services.

Main responsibilities

- Provide excellent technical support in a complex mission critical infrastructure environments
- Work on solving and preventing incidents, problems, helps develop storage concepts
- Ensure that devices under your responsibility are delivered according to the Service description (SLO & SLA)
- Closely cooperate with other technology domains to establish implementation plans for changes, projects and backup and recovery
- Ensure components supported are maintained, optimized and used effectively.
- Ensure compliance with HP internal technology standards and solutions.

- 1 years practical experience in 1 XP or EVA storage arrays (or market equivalent)
- 2 years practical experience in managing large SAN Fabrics based on Cisco, Brocade or McData switches
- Understanding of the HA storage concept and SAN, its performance, availability, scalability and management potential
- Very good communications skills, both verbal and written in English
- Service oriented behavior and communication to internal and external contacts
